What to Expect at the First Visit

For Naturopathic medical consultation, a first office visit will usually take about 60 minutes. The first visit is for taking a thorough health history and performing pertinent physical exam(s) for comprehensive assessment and creating an initial treatment plan. The new patients are expected to fill out the online intake form and consent form before coming to the office, which will be received by email at the time of scheduling the first appointment.

It is important that you bring copies of recent lab testing to your first visit or have the copies sent to our office as they might be important in assessing your current condition. Follow up visits usually take 30 minutes or so each time. In the follow up visits, we may discuss the issues that were left out during the previous visit due to not enough time as well as any change of symptoms and laboratory results, if necessary, and make any relevant changes to the initial treatment plan accordingly.

For Acupuncture, a first visit includes initial consultation and treatment session which will take about 75 minutes. As Dr. Lee-Sedera is a doctor of both Naturopathic medicine as well as Oriental medicine, there may always be a portion of naturopathic consultation and recommendation included, unless more extensive naturopathic consultation is necessary. In such case, the patient may be recommended to schedule a follow-up for naturopathic consultation. The new patients are expected to fill out the online intake form and consent form before coming to the office, which will be received by email at the time of scheduling the first appointment.
